We are delighted to confirm that our TEDDY BEARS PICNIC is back on SATURDAY 17th JUNE - FREE TRAIN TRAVEL FOR TEDDIES/SOFT TOYS, CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES BETWEEN 11.00 am AND 2.00 pm.
STATIONS INVOLVED: GLOSSOP, HADFIELD, HATTERSLEY AND GUIDE BRIDGE. At each of these stations volunteers from the station friends group will warmly welcome you. There are simple competitions to take part in - Find the bear, colour in a bear picture.... at each of the participating stations. Simple refreshments such as crisps and fruit may also be available without charge.
SO DO COME ALONG AND JOIN IN THE FUN! YOUR TEDDY/SOFT TOY WILL RECEIVE A LABEL WHEN YOU START YOUR JOURNEY AND THIS ACTS AS YOUR TRAVEL TICKET. NO SIZE LIMIT ON FAMILIES.
TRAINS ARE EVERY 30 MINUTES BETWEEN PARTICIPATING STAIONS.

Lots to see at each of the stations. At Hadfield enjoy the garden at the station, the bumblebee planter. Bankswood Park and Longdendale Trail are nearby. At Hattersley there is a brand new station to explore! At Guide Bridge visit the memorial garden with new historic mineral wagon, have a look at new school garden and learn more about soon to open Woodhead Railway Museum.

Please note: for this event it is not permitted for passengers to join or alight at Dinting, Broadbottom, Godley, Newton for Hyde and Flowery Field stations. Travel is only permitted from the participating stations.
